If you enjoy interior design projects, you will fall in love with these stylish modern interior design restaurants in Singapore. Even if you won’t travel to this city for the dining experience, your passion for design and aesthetics will be satisfied – that is guaranteed.
Pencil Office
A simple but dramatic interior wrapper of painted white brick surrounds the vertical surfaces of the main dining room of Commune. The continuous perforated screen composed of standard solid brick alternates each coursing, rotated perpendicular to the row below and above, recalling the ventilation screens of mid-century interior design.
At night the optical relationship is inverted, the restaurant appears as a glowing lantern, wrapped within the historic and preserved colonial building. The perpendicular brick pattern subtly ungulates in a plan, moving in and out to accommodate existing columns, openings, and air conditioners. The effect is a subtle gradation, producing an optical effect of movement similar to those found in artists exploring optical effects.
Skyve Bistro
Who hasn’t, in their school-going days, skip a class or two, just to sleep in late or catch a movie on a quiet afternoon? In that spirit of playfulness and remembrances of lulling languid days, the design for Skyve Bistro was born. The bistro, thus named, also harks back to the compounds’ previous usage as a secondary school.
The Tastings Room
The Tastings Room is a new addition to the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District, Marina Square with the fine combination of French/Italian bistro cuisine and wine cellar under one roof. The restaurant’s vision was to refresh the perception of wine and food culture in Singapore by providing them at affordable prices. The overall spatial experience sandwiches the crafted black volumes between two layers of industrial aesthetics: exposed ceiling and concrete screed floor, to juxtapose/merge opposing aesthetics to sophisticated yet affordable modern interior design.

Waku Ghin Restaurant
World-renowned Australian Chef Tetsuya Wakuda brings his culinary vision to restaurant Waku Ghin (Silver), an 8,000 square foot space located at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The program consists of a sake bar/caviar lounge, four teppanyaki rooms, the main dining room, drawing room and support spaces. The space selected for Waku Ghin was squeezed between the established kitchen area and an adjacent restaurant. The resulting design transforms this narrow linkage into a Grand Hall; a promenade connecting distinct programmatic elements.
Jing Restaurant
Jing is a contemporary Chinese restaurant located in One Fullerton building at the gate of downtown Singapore, surrounded by iconic Singaporean landmarks: The Merlion, Esplanade Theaters, Singapore Flyer and the soon-to-open Sands Integrated Resort set on Marina Bay’s backdrop (home of the F1 Singapore GP street race circuit); an impressive location to enjoy the ever-changing scenery of this city in the midst of inspiring modern interior design decisions.
Chop Suey
Serving Chinese cuisine informed by Western influences, the elegant restaurant and sibling of well-loved PS. Cafe, is decorated in monotone hues, rustic wicker chairs and a blend of colonial-style and Asian architecture. Full-height glass windows allow for natural light to stream in.
Artemis Grill
Located on the 40th floor of a CBD building, this rooftop dining offers spectacular views of the cityscape from both its indoor dining room and outdoor terrace. On the food front, the restaurant prides itself on hearty Mediterranean fare created with sustainably sourced seafood and organic produce.
Da Paolo Bistro Bar
For a laid-back yet sophisticated meal, this Italian Bistro bar is ti. Comfy sofas, casual wooden tables and chairs dot the woody space, the lush greenery giving you even more of a sense of repose. The restaurant also offers some refreshing signature cocktails.

Una at One Rochester
Tucked away amidst the lush surroundings of One Rochester, its cozy alfresco dining area features a glass ceiling, giving this space light and airy feeling. You can also head to the downstairs patio and dining room where it’s a different kind of charming: equal parts intimate and immaculate.
Whitegrass
Decked in pretty pastel hues and whimsical murals, the Australian fine dining spot feels more like a dining room (one in a mansion, that is) than a restaurant. So, too, food tastes as good as it looks. Modern home-like furniture will bring cosiness and aesthetics into your lunch or dinner time.
